Well, it’s been a while since we last updated, and we know what you
guys are wondering…The answer, of course, is “Yes, and plenty of it.”

But enough about our sex lives. Look at all the other fun things we’re doing in college!

Thus far, Storm “Mr. Sexy” Liebling has seen Bob Dylan, Guster, NW
alumnus Zach Braff, and comedian Dane Cook. Soon, he’ll be seeing Ben
Folds, Dave Matthews, and Jerry Seinfeld. He also had the pleasure of
once meeting Richard “the Dick” Gephardt, and they formed a special
bond on the basis of their sharing the exact same nickname.

For your viewing pleasure, here’s the actual snippet of conversation
between SL and ZB that you’ve all been anticipating so intently:

SL: “Hey, Zach – I’m a huge fan of yours!”
ZB: “Thanks, Dude. I really appreciate that.”
SL: “No problem. I loved your movie.”
ZB: “Cool.”
SL: “Cool.”
ZB: “Okay bye!”

As for Alex “Haricots Verts” Fumelli, he’s set his pair of hungry eyes
on Mr. Cook, comedian Carlos Alazraqui, Colin Powell, Al Gore, Chelsea
Rudman, Brendan Price, John Kerry, and the Washington Nationals’ very
first home game. Coming up next on his Calendar of Hot are Guster,
Chris Matthews, and Storm Liebling.

Hey, look at this photo! Doesn’t Alex look like he’s having fun?!

http://www.hotpics.com/nudes/alexfumelli.jpg

Now, even though we don’t give a shit about anyone at home anymore,
we’re really looking forward to the summer! Here are our top ten
reasons why:

10. My gonorrhea is getting bad…I should probably go see a doctor.
9. Can’t wait to see Satya in a toga.
8. The toilets at the Nissequogue Volunteer Fire Department won’t scrub themselves!
7. Looking forward to camping alongside Sherrie again. And by alongside, I mean on top of.
6. Certain people with an IQ of 154 can’t wait to learn how to drive.
5. Getting that anal wart removed will be a pain in my ass…but a much-needed one.
4. $30 an article plus ten bucks an hour! Suck it, The Hoya!
3. Losing my virginity to Mrs. Kelley – whoops, did I say that out loud?
2. Skinny dipping in the Sound will hopefully do wonders for my gonorrhea (see #10).
1. Two words: Ian. Woloschin.

Au revoir, tout le monde!
<lj:music>Ray Charles, What a Wonderful Wolrd (cover)</lj:music>

Tonight, the Cinqs Mignons rubbed elbows with the best of Hollywood and the best of France.

The day began with a trip to the famed Musee Grevin, and everyone was there! Storm, Dustin, Alex, and Dan got to hang out with stars like Elton John, Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Bush, the ever-blind Ray Charles, and the Pope. Also attending the high-profile party were Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, and Jean-Paul Sartre (eat your heart out, Nicole Smith)!

But that was far from being the whole ball of wax on the fifth and final full day of the Cinqs Mignons’ European tour. Their next stop was the Palace of Versailles, constructed to house the opulence of egocentric French kings and the home of a billiards hall that puts its Smithtown counterpart to shame.

The train rides back and forth consisted of games of GHOST and discussions of whether or not words like “xylophoning,” “daddy,” and “octavian” (“possessing octopus-like qualities,” says Dan) actually exist. Naturally, Alex and Maya came away with the win, despite various groundless complaints from Dustin.

For lunch, the team headed for a nearby café, and the confusing bathrooms – which included a separate (unisex?) urinal and a locked men’s stall – led to an embarrassing confrontation in which a waitress caught Maya helping Dan into the women’s stall.

Of course, a day in Paris is hardly a day without some form of volatile confrontation with the French, and a shopping trip for souvenirs saw countless pushy restaurant owners trying to force us into their lairs. Most notable was the question of a Middle-Eastern restaurateur, whose question of “Do you speak English?” was met simultaneously with a “No!” from Dan and a “Yes!” from Dustin.

“Go away!” said the confused man. “We will!” said Dustin. And the two parties parted ways.

But that was hardly the only confrontation of the day. Early on, in a discussion of the Metro’s strange tendency to nearly always serve the opposite platform first, Dan and Dustin engaged in a heated debate over the merits of “partial credit” in comparing trains’ arrival times. Not only did Alex and Storm laugh at them, but a French woman and a Hispanic male joined in as well.

Later on, Dan got some form of redemption for yesterday’s Asian eye-poking “incident,” when he accidentally let his Orangina bottle slip through the cracks of a church fence and went all the way around (about half a block, mind you) to save himself from God’s littering punishment. Dustin and Storm insisted that he didn’t have to, so long as the religious building wasn’t a Jewish synagogue.

To close the Mignons’ final evening was a candlelight dinner between Notre Dame and the Sorbonne, during which the group discussed everything from graduation philosophies to Ben Weinberg.

We leave for home tomorrow; it has been a truly wonderful trip, and Maya’s willingness to let four boys squeeze into her small, once-clean Paris apartment has changed all our lives for the better. Vive la France! See you next year! To the next step!

Signing off, Les Cinqs Mignons.

    <lj:music>c'est pas de faute</lj:music>

We began this day by waking up at the crack of 11:00 (Maya woke up at 7:00 to study the sore buns … I mean, Sorbonne). We met the Grande-Fumellis at a café outside of Le Louvre. Over some refreshing Coca’s and Café Cremes, we reminisced over days gone by. Grandpapa-Fumelli is a lot like Papa-Fumelli, who is a lot like Alex Fumelli, who is a lot like Alex Fumelli Jr., who is due in approximately eight months and twenty-nine days by that kind Parisian woman from Pigalle.

We went to Galeries Lafayette, the pinnacle of aristocratic French shopping. There we learned Weinberg, unbeknownst to all of us back home, actually has his own European women’s clothing line (though judging from the -40% sale, it’s not doing well).

Storm almost bought a pair of Puma© sneakers, and Alex also almost bought something he found…

Le Louvre. We spent most of the time looking at priceless porn. We enjoyed the Sleeping Hermaphrodite, and even saw a sculpture of the same subject. Venus de Milo, Winged Victory – we’d tap it (Maya would too). And Mona Lisa smiled (at Alex).

Do you guys remember the time, about twenty years ago, when that fourteen year old Frenchie stayed with the Lieblings? Well, he’s back … and he took us out to dinner. The food was notably deliche, a window into the heart of France. Pleasant conversations ensued, and Bruno taught us what life is really like in France. He told us that the fondest memory of the Liebling household was a magnet of a girl reaching down a boy’s pants and asking, “Where’s the beef?” Afterwards, Bruno took us to the Virgin Megastore on Champs-Elysees and helped the boys pick out French Pop c.d.’s (Dustin chose the pink one).

On the way back home, Dan poked an Asian man in the eye. He cried. Alex and Storm laughed. Dan felt really bad.

And speaking of boners:

<lj:music>the leg bone's connected to the... hip bone!</lj:music>

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!! Alex’s ears DID, in fact, pop at the top of La Tour Eiffel (or, for the late person, the Eiffel Tower).

The day began with a tremendous BANGZOOM! “So, where’d all of the toilet paper go?” inquired Storm, with shifty eyes. A single thought came into Maya’s head – “Uh-oh!” Two weeks prior to the arrival of the men, Alex jokingly asked Maya is he should bring any toilet paper. Maya reassured him that although it may be pink, there will be plenty of it. She was wrong. Unfortunately the Sovereign Nation of France does not sell poopy-paper on account of the complete and total shutdown of all commercial enterprises on Sundays.

Without the freedom to go poopy, the team set out for a trip down le metro which left us in front of the Catacombs...oh the Catacombs. Most of you are reading this and wondering two things: “What is a Catacomb?” and “Why is Storm so hot?” The answer to both questions can be found in the following picture:

Now, this probably leaves you with another question – “Are those real?” Yes, and so are the skulls. Bones from seven million dead Parisians form the walls of the Catacombs. Many date back to the period of the French Revolution. Small bones, large bones, small bones connected to the large bones. Even bones with bullet holes!

Our next stop was Musee d’Orsay. Storm <33333 van Gogh, and Whistler’s mother’s a M.I.L.F.

Along the way, we managed to pick up some femmes from the San Francisco Bay area (they were only mildly violent). We helped them find the best subway route to the Eiffel Tower, and together we climbed Paris’ tower of love.

<3 Paris.

Hey, look at this!!!

    <lj:music>Aretha Franklin - R-E-S-P-E-C-T</lj:music>

A wild, crazy, and respectful day.

Maya studiously went to class in the morning, Dan's luggage arrived by personal charter taxi, Dustin and Storm slept, and Alex cried after failing to find Chocapic at the local marche. A visit to the Sorbonne, Foucault's Pendulum, Crepes a GoGo, and Notre Dame de Paris followed. We then watched street performers in front of the Pompidou center. Maya was brusquely asked to spread her legs. When she refused, the street performer clubbed her twice. Then Storm, who the street performer had mistaken as Maya's boyfriend, was clubbed over the head as well. To cool off, we paid a visit to the Arc de Triomphe.

Then the adventure started.

The plan was to go to the sidewalk by Sacre Coeur in Montmartre to write the names of the Cinq Mingnons and their respective lovers. For those of you who aren't in the know:
Maya and Alex the Greek
Alex the Fumelli and Marla the LISEF Girl
Storm and Ashley Jaekle
Dustin and Dr. J
Dan and "Text Message Buddy"
We even had the time to send Sherrie a nudy postcard.

At the bottom of Sacre Coeur, the guys were were trying to get a picture of Angry Maya. She tried to force it, and it didn't come out so well. But then opportunity came to our door! A disgruntled, English-speaking and Sean John-wearing black man approached Storm and tried to offer him some shitty piece of yarn craft. Maya, who is well-educated in the art of stupid black men trying to sell shit to American tourists, let the gentleman know that the Cinq Mignons were not interested in buying his crap. She suddenly became the innocent target of his hostilities. Said hostilities included such phrases as "I respect you, but fuck you. You don't respect me because I'm black but I was respecting you. Fuck you. You're 17 years old. I respect them. Respect. Fuck you. Respect fuck."

We were just as lost as you are.

We enjoyed the view some more, and as we realized all of Paris was being covered in rain, we, along with hundreds of other tourists on the great lawn, found shelter/sanctuary inside the Basilica Sacre Coeur.

A magnificent dinner in Montparnasse finished off the evening. Although we do admit, our appetites were slightly spoiled by a brother and sister who were busy sucking face (and lap napkin) at the next table over.

Bonsoir!

Today we arrived in Paris. While Storm saved the flight attendant’s job by magnificently catching a fumbled cup, Dan was half an hour late to the designated meeting point because Paris lost his baggage. Dustin, Storm, and Alex spent the time looking for people that looked like you. Dustin tried using his near-perfect French accent to kindly purchase a ticket on the RER (Paris’ LIRR knockoff) – “Un billet a Paris, s’il vous plait!” The Frenchie kindly replied “Seven eighty-five.” Honestly, how did he know?

The RER was taken into the city, and time was burnt wandering around with our suitcases and at riverside cafes talking to a waiter who assumed we wanted a croissant. He was wrong... oh so wrong. On the plus, we talk so well they think we’re slow Canadians.

We’ve come to the conclusion that there’s nothing to do in this city.

All we do is spend the time loitering.

After the fire-dancing and breakdancing street performances got dull, we walked home along the river. Suddenly, six police motorcycles drove past us. Ooh-la-la! A police motorcycle brigade!

…WRONG!

For 10 minutes, all four lanes of the street were filled up with rollerbladers. And more rollerbladers. Guy rollerbladers. Girl rollerbladers. Guy rollerbladers dressed as girl rollerbladers. One rollerblading cop even gave us the universal “gnarly” sign. Anyways, they kept on coming and coming for 10 minutes, and we were terrified.

Anyways, time for some sleeps, cause we have a long day of continued nothing ahead of us tomorrow! Au revoir, tout le monde!

"On Friday, September 14, 2001, President Bush visited Ground Zero. Standing on a crushed and burned fire engine atop the smoldering pile at Ground Zero, he put his arm around a retired firefighter who had volunteered to help, and began speaking to the crowd. Rescue workers shouted that they could not hear him. Someone handed him a small American flag and bullhorn. The President spontaneously shouted: "I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon." The crowd roared with cheers and chants of "USA! USA! USA!" Then he raised that American flag and rallied a nation."
...how can you honestly say that bush does not care about america?

go here to do some research about your president:
http://www.angelfire.com/ok/funwithunclejim/bush.html
